Using a traditional ba’go boat and named after the infamous prime minister of Gowa Empire who had a thirst for science and knowledge, Perahupustaka Pattingalloang goes far into the sea and deep into the rivers to reach young readers living in the nearby islands.
Run and managed by a maritime researcher, Ridwan Alimuddin, this library has a mission to rekindle the love of maritime culture through literature. Our green books are a collection within the library to support its mission.
This Eco-Education Center is funded by public donation made on this website and Zelena pro Indonesii (Green for Indonesia) crowdfunding campaign at HitHit.com
Update: Unfortunately the boat sunk and the books were lost.
