Mr. Fadli, a civil servant and university lecturer, and his wife Olga built their new house without cutting down the existing trees and named it Green House. Half-made of bamboo with a fish pond on the roof, they dedicate a part of it – Green Gallery – as a public facility to raise awareness about waste management in their community, especially the production of bio-gas from the organic waste.
They also organize activities for children – drawing class and environmental education. The kids are able to learn about sustainable way of life in the Eco-Education Center provided by green-books.org under the roof of Green House. How green is that!
This Eco-Education Center is entirely funded by Miroslav Hlavac through Zelena Pro Indonesii (Green for Indonesia) crowdfunding campaign.
Update: Unfortunately, Mrs. Fadli and Mrs. Olga are inactive. They are currently in search of a new Center Manager.
