Mrs. Rima is an education and community officer at Begawan, a foundation aimed at the conservation of the Bali starling. She is teaming up with her colleague Amy, an animal scientist from Australia, to develop lessons about the environment, animal conservation, ecosystems, waste management and clean water.
Currently, Begawan is running a 10 week education program with four Elementary Schools in their area and even more schools are planned to be approached.
Besides bringing their program to schools, they offer the kids to join the Ambassadors Program, located in the breeding center at the Green School. Twice a week, they will spend two hours after school for activities to learn more about birds, for creative games, coloring, drawing, practicing English and reading our green books.
