Pak Tri is a teacher at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Hasanuddin Elementary School which has collapsed once due to poor construction and heavy rains. As most of the books have been damaged, now they are impatiently waiting for their green books.
The village is very close to the famous Lovina Beach, so most of the local people are fishermen. They are witnessing the damage of the coral reef and ocean pollution with plastic first hand.
The Eco-Activities will be scheduled as extracurricular program and combined with scout activities on the weekends.
Pak Tri says: “We also hope to learn about plastic waste upcycling, creating something valuable that could be sold on the local market.”
