083 / Putrajawa, Garut, West Java – School Eco-Library
Pak Pandi has been a primary school library manager for the past 3 years now.
He says: “The students are not excited about coming to the library, because local government has provided us only with boring textbooks.”
Selaawi is a small village in the north of West Java. During the dry season, it is a classic problem that the rivers and springs run dry. The villagers are also indifferent toward environmental issues.
Pak Pandi is an active leader of the school scouts. So, with the books of the Eco-Library, the kids can learn about the environment and create outdoors activities to strengthen their love for the nature.
Previous supporters have funded more than 60 Eco-Libraries across Indonesia. You can join the movement by donating today.
