080 / Ketosari, Purworejo, Central Java – Community Eco-Library
Ketosari is a small village in the highlands of Java and most people there are farmers. As this village is quite far from the cities, there is a lack of good education.
Mrs. Rizky Sastya Maharani decided to tackle this problem. After graduating from university, she opened a community Eco-Library in her house for the kids of the nearby elementary school.
This is a new project for her, so besides reading, storytelling, novel writing and teaching English, she is excited to implement more Eco-Activities. The first will be teaching kids how to plant their own herbs.
Previous supporters have funded more than 60 Eco-Libraries across Indonesia. You can join the movement by donating today.
