062 / Tebet Barat, South Jakarta – Orphanage Eco-Library
Mrs. Marhamah is a manager of the orphanage in Tebet, a district in South Jakarta. They look after 43 children from the age of 4 to 17.
Like in every third world metropolis, there are serious waste issues in Jakarta. There is no other option than to live sustainably in this agglomeration of 30 million people.
Mrs. Marhamah says: “Our children run around all day and sometimes they sit down and read books. The best books are the ones with colorful illustrations. We don’t have any environmental program yet. We are excited about the Eco-Library program.”
Previous supporters have funded more than 60 Eco-Libraries across Indonesia. You can join the movement by donating today.
