BENEFITS TO BEING AN ECO-LIBRARY COORDINATOR:

  • Guidelines for Eco-Activities (check our Forum on Facebook)
  • Access to a community of like-minded green educators
  • A set of environmental books for children
  • Other incentives related to sustainable practices (water filters, reusable tote bags etc.)
  • Resources for sustainable practices in your community
  • Opportunity to participate in the Green Educator Course in Bali

WHAT YOU NEED
TO CONTRIBUTE:

  • Eco-Library Coordinator
    • an adult volunteer coordinator (18 yrs +)
    • ready to make a long term commitment
    • fluent in Bahasa Indonesia
    • able to manage a group of children
    • enthusiastic about implementing environmental education
    • able to communicate with us in Facebook group, and upload photos and videos
    • need to set up a Google account to access the Eco-Activities guidelines
  • Group of minimum 15 children, age 6-18 yrs
  • Regular implementation of Eco-Activities by the Coordinator
  • Regular feedback about Eco-Activities by the Coordinator
  • Space for children to gather regularly

1BEFORE YOU APPLY:

  • Explore our Facebook group: green-book.org Eco-Activities Forum and consider if you will be able to implement the Eco-Activities and share it by posting pictures or videos.
  • Ask the children to draw their favorite Indonesian endangered species in it’s natural habitat, including legible name of the child and the species.
  • Prepare photographs for later upload:

•  Photo number 1) showing you, the Eco-Library Coordinator

•  Photo number 2) showing a group of at least 15 children holding their drawings of endangered species, including legible name

•  Photo number 3) showing some closeups of the best drawings

•  Photo number 4) showing a secure space that the children will gather in

2FILL IN THE FORM BELOW, UPLOAD PHOTOS AND SUBMIT APPLICATION:

  • Give us the most appropriate answers so we and the public donors can learn the unique story about you, your location and it’s environmental issues.
  • Upload the same photos on your personal Facebook timeline, create a post showing that you are ready to become Eco-Library Coordinator, and tag @green-books.org, for example: We’re ready to join @green-books.org.

3JOIN OUR ONLINE GROUP:

4IMPLEMENT AND GIVE FEEDBACK ON THE ECO-ACTIVITIES:

  • Follow our guidelines for Eco-Activities in the online group, start to implement them, comment and like others’ posts.
  • Show your engagement by uploading photos and videos from Eco-Activities regularly.
  • After we contact you for an additional interview, create a unique story about your project and post it to our website and social media in order to attract public donors to sponsor the books and other incentives

5STRIVE FOR GREEN BOOKS AND OTHER INCENTIVES:

  • Implement Eco-Activities frequently, the more you are active the faster we arrange for the first set of environmental books
  • Keep implementing further Eco-Activities and report to us with feedback regularly so we can arrange the next set of environmental books or other incentives

6BECOME A GREEN GURU

  • Persevere, keep implementing further Eco-Activities and report to us with feedback regularly and you will be chosen to participate on Green Educator Course in Bali
  • Become a Green Guru and be the change maker in your community
